  • The applicant must be a girl student belonging to one of the following minority communities: Muslim, Christian, Sikh, Buddhist, Jain, or Parsi.
  • The applicant must be studying in class 9, 10, 11, or 12.
  • The applicant must have secured at least 50% marks or equivalent grade in the previous qualifying examination.
  • The annual income of the applicant’s family from all sources should not exceed Rs. 2 lakh.

Amount of Scholarship:

9-10  Books or stationery expenses, tuition fees, lodging/boarding charges INR 10,000 annually, which will be released in two instalments of INR 5,000 for each student (quarterly)
11-12  Books or stationery expenses, school fees, lodging/boarding charges INR 12,000 annually, which will be released in two instalments of INR 6,000 for each  student (quarterly)

  • Attested copy of mark sheet of the previous qualifying examination
  • Income certificate of parents/guardians
  • Caste certificate (if applicable)
  • Residence certificate
  • Affidavit on Rs. 10/- stamp paper stating that the student is not availing any other scholarship from any other source.

How To Apply:

The Begum Hazrat Mahal National Scholarship is applied online through the official website of the Maulana Azad Education Foundation (MAEF). The application process is usually open from October to December.

  1. Visit the official NSP website.
  2. Applicants applying for the first time need to register themselves on the National Scholarship Portal by filling out the ‘Student Registration Form’.
  3. A page of Guidelines for Registration on NSP will open.
  4. Go through the guidelines carefully.
  5. Click on ‘Continue’ to proceed.
  6. Fill in all required details.
  7. Click on ‘Register’.
  8. The applicants must log in using their registered mobile number and date of birth to fill out the scholarship form.
  9. Click on the login button to start the scholarship application.
  10. While filling out the scholarship form, applicants need to give information regarding their bank details, marks details, parents’ occupation and income details.
