SAIL is inviting applications for 110 vacancies across Operator-cum-Technician and Attendant-cum-Technician (Trainee) positions.
Posts and Eligibility Criteria
As per the SAIL Recruitment 2023 notification, there are openings for Operator-cum-Technician and Attendant-cum-Technician (Trainee) roles. Candidates must meet specific qualifications for each post:
Operator-cum-Technician (Boiler Operator) (S-3):
– Matriculation with a 3-year diploma in mechanical, electrical, plant, production, or instrumentation engineering from a recognized institute.
– First Class Boiler Attendant Certificate of Competency.
Operator-cum-Technician (Electrical Supervisor) (S-3):
– Matriculation with a 3-year diploma in Electrical Engineering.
– Valid Electrical Supervisory Certificate (Mining) of Competency to work in mines.
– Minimum 1-year post-qualification experience in repairs, overhauls, and maintenance.
Attendant-cum-Technician (Trainee):
– Matriculation with ITI in Electrician, Fitter, Electronics, Machinist, Diesel Mechanic, Computer Operator, Programme Assistant, or IT.
Age Limit:
The age criteria as per SAIL Recruitment 2023 are as follows:
– For Operator-cum-Technician (Boiler Operator): 18 to 30 years.
– For Operator-cum-Technician (Electrical Supervisor) and Attendant-cum-Technician (Trainee): 18 to 28 years.
Selection Process
Candidates will undergo a Computer-Based Test (CBT) followed by a skill or trade test, as stated in the official SAIL Recruitment 2023 notification. The details regarding test schedules and venues will be communicated through email, SMS, and the SAIL website via admit cards.
Application Procedure
Interested and eligible candidates should apply online through the official SAIL website before the closing date, which is 16-12-2023. Please note that a fee of Rs. 500 is applicable.
